the one where I had a 5-and-a-half-hour-long date with Sterling (aka the library), during which I had an interesting encounter with a former UIL speller. He approached me and said, “Hey, I know you! You’re Jamie! Jamie Hoelscher!” (insert one very confused facial expression here) He then explained that he was terrified of me back in our spelling days, when we competed against each other at state. SO funny how all these State-UIL-spellers somehow end up going to A&M! We really are all connected in this great circle of life.
This was also the one where I had a wonderful catch-up date with Atalie (complete with Pei Wei, singing with Bruno Mars, eating Valentine’s candy, and playing with her precious cat Molly!) So thankful for the beautiful gift of friendship! (And the other beautiful gift of hazelnut chocolate.)
