Day 211

July 30, 2011

the one where we had Toga Party to say “Ciao!” to Carolyn before she leaves for Italy! Homemade togas + lasagna + a variety of wine and cheese (of course) + cake balls and cupcakes + hanging out in the back yard + swimming + giving Carolyn a “Flat Jamie” (so a part of me can always be with her!) + stargazing (and wishing on shooting stars) + singing praise & worship and praying a divine mercy chaplet in the moonlight = it doesn’t get any better than this. Couldn't be more thankful for today's blessings!!

Day 210

July 29, 2011

the one where Rachel came to C-Stat for a visit, Kristin graciously gave me an awesome desk to put in my new room (and Nick provided some much needed man-power to help us move it from one place to the other!), and we spent our Friday night in downtown Bryan sharing pizza at Mr. G’s, and then watching the sunset and talking about life while eating Blue Bell ice cream. :)

Day 209

July 28, 2011

the one where I had a morning coffee date with Atalie at Sweet Eugene’s, spent some time looking for house things, went to the last 4th Day of the summer (complete with sand volleyball and a homemade slip-n-slide!), and spent the rest of the night discussing life on the patio at Sonic until 11:30 pm with Jessica, Natalie, Nick, and Olivia. So thankful for all of you!

Day 208

July 27, 2011

the one where I celebrated "2-weeks-until-moving-into-Casa-Agape" day by searching around town for furniture and decorations! (And found a $2 journal that looks like it was made just for me!) The rest of the evening was spent hanging out at Newk’s with Carolyn, treasuring all the time we have left together before she leaves for her semester in Italy.

Day 207

July 26, 2011

the one where we finished painting Brittany’s room—and it looks AWESOME! And we also sang this song 5 times—it makes my heart melt into a little puddle.

Monday, July 25, 2011

Day 206

July 25, 2011

the one where me and Brittany started painting her bedroom! A Home Depot adventure + hours of girl talk + me accidentally tipping over a giant can of paint (which thankfully spilled onto a plastic drop-cloth…WHEW!) + laughing about it + going to Mass + dinner at Jason’s Deli + choir practice + trying to play the djembe with Perla and chatting until closing time at the student center = talk about a day to be thankful for! Also, if you haven’t heard this song yet, you should check it out—it’s been stuck in my head all day; just ask Brittany! 

Day 205

July 24, 2011

the one where we celebrated Sunday with Mass, butternut squash lasagna, playing bananagrams, going to MugWalls for the first time, having a painting night with Carolyn and Katherine, cutting a pizza with a scissors, cracking an egg and finding two yolks inside, baking brownies with reckless abandon, a spontaneous trip to Red Mango, and inviting Natalie and Jessica over to watch A Little Princess. What a beautiful, beautiful day!

Saturday, July 23, 2011

Day 204

July 23, 2011

the one where me and Momsie began our spontaneous girl’s weekend in C-Stat! Pei Wei + looking for fabric to make a toga (don’t ask…) + Happy Tracks ice cream + coming up with a new portmanteau word (sketchy + scandalous = sketchalous) + mother-daughter bonding = fantabulous. :)

Day 203

July 22, 2011

the one where we celebrated Mercedes’ 22nd year of life! I’m so thankful that I had the blessing of serving on AA92 Leadership with this girl—she is truly incredible, and I love her to pieces!! :)

Dear Mercedes, I hope your birthday was full of blessings, and I pray this new year of life is the best one EVER! Love, Jamie

Day 202

July 21, 2011

the one where I spent the day babysitting, which included taking the boys to the movies to see “Zookeeper” and going to the Pebble Creek golf course to practice on the driving range. And afterward I finally got to discover who has been lifting me up and leaving me gifts all summer long!! AH!

When Jackie said “Open your eyes and turn around,” I couldn’t have been happier to see Tiffany’s beautiful smiling face! I love this girl so much, and I still can’t believe she did so much for me out of pure love! (I was actually so overcome with emotion that I completely forgot to take a picture, so I figured this one from AA91 would do!) Tiffany, YOU ARE AMAZING and I love to you the moon and back! Dancing at the Hall until 2am to celebrate = perfect way to end the day! :)

Day 201

July 20, 2011

the one where I spent another day babysitting…and by “babysitting” I mean “going to the Country Club and hanging out by the pool all day.” These boys are too funny—the 7-year-old caught a football at one point and started yelling “I’m Von Miller!!” And later we were talking about the weirdest names we’d ever heard, and the 12-year-old said that Judge Judy had a weird first name…which was so hilarious I didn’t even bother correcting him! I love hanging out with kids all day. :)

Then I got home and found these waiting on the porch for Joanna! These people are seriously unbelievable! Can’t wait to find out who they are tomorrow!!

Wednesday, July 20, 2011

Day 200

July 19, 2011

the one where I babysat all day long, and then celebrated birthdays with Katie’s! Katie Rhinehart and Katie Prochaska both celebrated their birthdays today—WHOOP! So thankful to know these two ladies. This was also the one where we had our last official AA92 leadership meeting…which was SO bittersweet! I’m going to miss hanging out with all of you on the reg. True story.

PS: I can’t believe it’s Day 200 already! I can’t tell you how many times people have tried to convince me to move my 365 Days project to a blog—but yesterday alone several people brought it up. So I’m going to give it a try! Here we go!

Day 199

July 18, 2011

the one where Laura celebrated her 22nd birthday! If you don’t mind, let’s take a brief walk down memory lane…

I still remember how nervous I was as a freshman trying to get involved at St. Mary’s…but I also remember how welcome Laura made me feel the day I joined the Music Ministry. Laura, you were one of the first people I met here at St. Mary’s, and I couldn’t be more thankful! Hope you had a wonderful birthday, and best of luck to you as you begin Vet school! :)

Day 198

July 17, 2011

the one where we celebrated SUNDAY OF AWAKENING 92!!! (Probably one of the greatest days of my life, actually! And I know I’m not the only one saying that.) I just feel so humbled and overwhelmed by the generous graces and love our Father has showered upon all of us this weekend—retreaters, staffers, and leadership alike! Special thanks to Monica for introducing us all to this fun song!

I love you all so much, and I hope everyone had an absolutely wonderful experience on AA92! :)

Day 197

July 16, 2011

the one where we celebrated SATURDAY OF AWAKENING!! This one was incredible due to A) the awesome speakers and activities, B) the love we got to witness in each of the table families, C) the ridiculous amount of CMT bonding, D) the joyful and humbling tears that we cried together as a leadership when we realized how God’s love was moving in each of us and all of the retreaters and staffers, and E) ALL OF THE ABOVE.

PS: 'Rikman. My ba. Thanks for introducing me to Explosions in the Sky. You’re a bro.

Day 196

July 15, 2011

the one where this amazing little thing called “Aggie Awakening 92” commenced! I literally thought I was going to explode with excitement! Finally, after months of pouring our hearts and souls into preparing this retreat, we finally got to watch the retreaters experience it! And Day 1 of the retreat was incredible! This song will forever remind me of AA92!

Day 195

July 14, 2011

the one where Thomas and Lucas came to A&M for their New Student Conference! After helping them get their Student IDs, figure out possible class schedules, and sit through boring meetings, we had a really beautiful moment at Pizza Hut, of all places.

My dad (who recently had cataract surgery) looked at me from across the table…and tears started streaming down his face. He said that he’s never been able to see the color of my eyes before—and he never knew they were such a light brown. (Talk about an emotional moment! I still get tears in my eyes thinking about it.) Then after working on finishing touches and loading the U-Haul for AA92, I left the office, and to my surprise, I saw that my car had been decorated! The Midnight premiere of the final Harry Potter movie was just the icing on the beautiful cake that was today. The blessings abound!

Day 194

July 13, 2011

the one where Joanna, Tanya, and I had a morning adventure! After stopping by Sweet Eugene’s for morning coffee and Old Navy for shirts, we got back into Joanna’s car…and it wouldn’t start. So after several minutes we realized that Joanna ran out of gas! So we walked across the street to HEB, laughing the whole way, and Joanna told the gas pump attendant that she ran out of gas. To our surprise, he asked “didn’t you run out of gas right over there a few months ago?” HAHAHA! (Yes, she did.) How hilarious is it that he remembered that? So from now on, Joanna will be very aware of how much gas she has in her tank! :)

PS: how cool is it that God made sure we had JUST enough gas to get to Old Navy, without running out in the middle of the highway? Oh, how He loves us all!

Day 193

July 12, 2011

the one where we had our last Awakening Leadership meeting before the retreat! Our AWESOME shirts came in today, and we also had some surprise visitors come in and spend some time praying with us. :)

Day 192

July 11, 2011

the one where I took care of some Awakening business and got to put my snazzy new clipboard to good use! (MAN, I cannot wait to meet the person who made this! She included little pudgy birds and everything!!!) Only 4 more days until the retreat!

Day 191

July 10, 2011

the one where we had a celebration for Monsignor Mike Sis (who entered into his 25th year of Priesthood today!); Carson showed up to Aggie Awakening Workshop with a full beard; the CMTs had a little crisis that thankfully got taken care of without any of us going into panic mode; and I came home to find 4 boxes of fruit snacks waiting to surprise me by the door! I cannot WAIT to find out who this wonderful person is!

Day 190

July 9, 2011

the one where (SURPRISE!) we worked on Awakening things all day! (I know I’m beginning to sound like a broken record.) The retreat is really sneaking up—I can’t believe we only have 6 more days! I’ll just say that today involved quite a bit of paint, and some good CMT bonding time in the choir loft. Whoop!

Day 189

July 8, 2011

the one where I began to conquer one of my biggest fears. I try my best to keep it a secret, but I might as well just say it: I never learned how to swim. As far back as I can remember, I’ve always been terrified of it…but lately I’ve been realizing that NOW is the perfect time to learn. And Nick took on the challenge of teaching me! So even though I was embarrassed and scared at first, I’m already getting MUCH more confident in the water—this may sound completely ridiculous, but I can’t believe I actually retrieved this rock from the bottom of the pool, all by myself!! It may not sound like much, but trust me, this is HUGE.

A successful morning swimming lesson + a smoothie date with Atalie + dinner at McAllister’s with friends after Mass = this is why is love summer. Couldn’t be more thankful for today’s blessings!

Aaaand this video is brought to you courtesy of Erik.

Day 188

July 7, 2011

the one where I recruited for Welcome Weekend, worked on Awakening things all day, and came home to find a wonderful surprise waiting for me! Hazelnut chocolate = crazydelicious! Whoever you are, mysterious gift-giver, you. are. AWESOME. (I had no idea it was World Chocolate Day!!! If it weren’t for you, I totally would have missed it!) SO thankful for you!

PS: this cover of “Just a Dream” is even better than the original! Check it out, yo.

Day 187

July 6, 2011

the one where we worked on Awakening things all day long, made some hilarious memories (that included “homemade” oreos, grandma pants from Goodwill, and a plastic dinosaur), and ended the night with a 2 ½ hour-long choir practice!
PS: today was also Kimee’s birthday! Hope you had a wonderful day, my dear!

Day 186

July 5, 2011

the one where we celebrated Christmas in July at Lilvia’s house! A Charlie Brown Christmas + an inflatable palm tree decorated with lights and a stocking + a white elephant gift exchange complete with everything from Progresso soup to a snake-shaped ashtray = Merry Christmas in July!

Day 185

July 4, 2011

the one where we celebrated the 4th of July with a picnic in Research Park, followed by a laser light show at the George Bush Library! Hot dogs and burgers + feeding the ducks + watching the sun set + realizing that lasers will never replace good ol’ fireworks + stargazing with friends until late at night + having a sleepover party with Carolyn and Kristin = Happy 235th birthday, America!

Day 184

July 3, 2011

the one where I spent the day with my family, visited my grandma, and lifted the Rayfield family up in prayer. To all my prayer warriors out there, I ask that you please keep them in your prayers too; my dear friend Kristin lost her brother, and I can’t even begin to imagine what she and her family must be going through right now.

Dear Kristin, know that I love you and am praying for you during this tough time. Know that I’m here for you any time you need me. But most of all, remember that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted—allow Him to hold you in His arms and comfort you in a way that no one else can. Carolyn , I’m praying for you as well—I know that you’re struggling with the loss of your cousin, and I wish there was something more that I could do. My precious friends, know that I will continue to pray for both of you and your families. I pray that God will shower all of you with His love, mercy, peace, and comfort in these hard times. All my love, Jamie

Day 183

July 2, 2011

the one where Kirsten and Aaron tied the knot! They had a gorgeous outdoor wedding, complete with a beautiful song performed by Katy and Karli , sweet little flower girls, pretty dresses and snazzy ties, a cute dog, and a ridiculously beautiful couple! I'm so glad I got to celebrate with all of you, and I wish you two all the best! :)

Day 182

July 1, 2011

the one where we celebrated the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus by working on Awakening business and having a board game night at Nico’s place! Eating rosemary chicken, potatoes, and veggies + playing Boxers or Briefs, Quelf, and Loaded Questions (which had us telling stories, rearranging the living room, dancing like ballerinas, and being forced to end every sentence with “Hear me, for I have spoken”) + learning that Nicolas can do the moonwalk + laughing our heads off + late night “French” Vanilla ice cream = Friday night awesomeness. Love you people!

Day 181

June 30, 2011

the one where I worked on Awakening stuff all day (I can’t believe the retreat is only 15 days away! AH!), took a break for Mass and a leadership dinner, and then…worked on more Awakening stuff! After which, we got our dancin’ boots on, spritzed ourselves with “Pure Awesomeness,” and danced the night away at the Hall!

PS: Please enjoy another beautiful video courtesy of Erik!

Day 180

June 29, 2011

the one where I reviewed my GRE book one last time (and had a giggle fit when I saw the odd sample sentence they chose for the word “vaporize”…CLEARLY whoever wrote that sentence has never played Super Mario before—since when has Mario ever vaporized anyone with an atomic ray gun?? Or has THAT much changed since the last time I played?), and finally took the GRE! Let me tell you: knowing that I had a whole army of prayer warriors lifting me up gave me SO much peace during the test. So I thank all of you again for everything!

PS: I think I’ve finally found my theme song; lately I’ve been singing this everywhere I go! :)

Day 179

June 28, 2011

the one where I recruited for Welcome Weekend, studied for the GRE (surprise, surprise), became a Eucharistic Minister, and took a little study break to bake lollipop cookies for our Leadership meeting! Then Brittany surprised me with a sweet note and lots of goodies to get me psyched for the big day tomorrow! Thank you all SO much for all the encouragement and prayers! I love you all to the moon and back!! :)

Aaand special thanks to Erik for introducing me to this song today! GOODGOLLYGOSH this song makes me get misty. (In a very good way!)

Day 178

June 27, 2011

the one where I studied for the GRE from sunup until sundown (with a little painting break thrown in so right-brain could get a workout too!), and got to sing this song at choir practice. (My heart almost exploded!) And like always, our board looked ridiculous, so I couldn’t resist being a photo sniper! (Dear Mike, I know you don’t want to be on the internet, but you have to admit: this picture is perfect!) Really, doesn’t it look like an intense game plan? (And what are those strange symbols on the right??) I don't know, but I love it. :)

And then my heart almost exploded again afterward when I went out to the parking lot and found a sweet note from Carolyn on my car! So thankful for today's blessings. :)

Day 177

June 26, 2011

the one where we celebrated the Solemnity of Corpus Christi with Mass and a going away party for Father Chris (we’re going to miss him SO much! He’s seriously going to do great things in Copperas Cove!), followed by a French movie night and an EPIC Awakening proposal! :D

Legit French ratatouille prepared by a real Frenchman + figuring out that St. Nicholas must’ve been “Pole-ish” (since he’s from the North Pole, duh) + meeting Miriam’s fiancée, Reuben (pronounced “Rhoo-baaahn”) + “ohhhh myyyy gaaaah-sh…” + watching a heartwarming French movie (Les Choristes!) with English subtitles + Nicolas getting down on one knee/giving a beautiful speech/presenting Jessica with a handmade rosary/asking her “Will you be my Awakening wife?” in that French accent of his, ALL while one of her favorite songs plays in the background = seriously? Yeah, it was just like that! I almost cried, for real. Your Awakening children will LOVE you two!

Day 176

June 25, 2011

the one where Kathryn, April, and I baked cookies and a Papa Murphy’s pizza…and watched a really sad movie. :( We found “Love Happens” in the DVD closet and expected it to be a cutesy little chick flick full of your typical unrealistic Hollywood relationships—but it was actually very realistic! And I’ll be honest—when it was over, I was left feeling an odd mixture of disappointment and thankfulness. Disappointment because I LOVE feel-good movies with happy endings (and this was not one of those), but thankfulness because I realize how blessed I am that I haven’t had to cope with many losses yet.

Basically, the entire movie was about a man struggling to get over his wife, who died in a car crash…in the car he was driving. And while I know that it’s only a matter of time until I have to cope with the loss of someone I love, I have to remind myself that we don’t belong to each other—we belong to our Father. And until the time comes to be with Him, we should treasure every moment that we have together in this life! It’s funny how a movie I didn’t particularly enjoy can make me type this much, but it’s these realistic movies that help remind us how precious life really is.

And speaking of precious things, you should watch this!

Day 175

June 24, 2011

the one where I learned that Joanna is deathly afraid of roaches. (I snapped this as she was giving a spiel about how much she hates them (while chopping up an apple)…and I also learned that the American cockroach is “the fastest cockroach IN THE WOOOOORRRRLLLLDDD!!!”) Spending Friday night hanging out and brainstorming with leadership at Wings n’ More + watching My Big Fat Greek Wedding with Olivia (“why you want to leeeeave me?”) = ridiculous.

PS: here’s my song of the day! Enjoy!

Day 174

June 23, 2011

the one where Elizabeth, Perla, and I recruited for Welcome Weekend (and ran into Mickey just as we were snapping this picture!), laughed at this clipboard, and then received an interesting UPS delivery! Olivia got a package today from Utah…and neither of us had a clue what was in it, or who had sent it. But when she opened it, she found 4 cookies! I seriously laughed so hard I could hardly breathe!! Who sends anyone mysterious random cookies from Utah?!

The day came to a close with 4th Day, leadership bonding, and Erik dominating me in the clothespin game…but he made me 2 awesome Hillsong CDs, so all is forgiven. :)

And thanks for the prayers, everyone—my dad’s surgery went well!

PS: You should listen to this song! It seriously melts my heart into a puddle!

Day 173

June 22, 2011

the one where me and Atalie had a breakfast date at Sweet Eugene’s (where we just so happened to wear almost the exact same dress…what are the chances?), I took a practice GRE test, discovered this song, and then celebrated Natalia’s 21st birthday!

Karaoke night at Paddock Lane + watching Natalia and Eric share a cute little fishbowl + singing Don’t Stop Believing, Bohemian Rhapsody, and La Bamba + listening to crazy people sing songs with risqué lyrics (Nicolas even approached me with a rosary and asked if we should start praying!) + lots of laughing = happy birthday, Natalia!! Hope your day was EPIC! :D

Day 172

June 21, 2011

the one where I started my morning by recruiting on campus for Welcome Weekend with Elizabeth , spent the afternoon studying, and had dinner after Mass with lots of wonderful friends! Me and Carolyn each embraced our inner child by making our salt & pepper shakers dance around while singing this song. (Clearly the two are very much in love.) And afterward at our leadership meeting we discovered just how much we need to work on our aim when we made a game out of throwing away old markers! I'm pretty sure I'll always be a child at heart...and I'm perfectly okay with that. :)

Day 171

June 20, 2011

the one that can be summed up in one word: CRAWESOME! (According to Joe, crazy + awesome = crawesome…which has got to be one of my favorite words of all time!! Aaaaand because of the insane giggle fit I had right after hearing this word, I earned myself a new nickname: Gigglebox. Man, I LOVE hybrid words!)

But just to recap, this was the one where I had a grocery shopping adventure at HEB (where a friendly Nigerian cashier made my day when he said, “Oh my, you have a fine voice! Do you sing?”), was surprised when Ross snuck up on me and Carolyn before Mass (he’s finally back after spending an entire MONTH in Europe—how CRAWESOME is that?!), had a miniature counseling sesh with Perla after choir practice, and spent some time with leadership at the Rockyard.

Day 170

June 19, 2011

the one where we celebrated Kirsten’s Bachelorette Party! Hanging out in a beautiful natural pool tucked away in the un-city-fied recesses of Austin + catching up with friends + hearing about this + wearing flowers in our hair + dinner and salsa dancing at The Oasis = hope you’re enjoying your last days of singleness, Kirsten (even though you just want to get married already!!) I’ll be counting down to the wedding right along with you! :)

PS: happy father’s day to all you dads out there!

Day 169

June 18, 2011

the one where I went home for Kirsten’s Wedding Shower at the Jarolik’s beautiful new home! Reuniting with friends + laughing + showering the bride-to-be with gifts, recipes, and good wishes + taste-testing possible wedding cakes + watching Emma wrap herself up and present herself to Kirsten as the last gift = so much happiness! :)

Day 168

June 17, 2011

the one that I spent running lots of errands, buying gifts, and catching up with Atalie! Sushi night at Atami + falling in love with Fair Goodness Cake! ice cream at Ben & Jerry’s (hands-down the greatest flavor of ALL TIME) + talking about life with one of my favorite people EVER while watching the sunset = SO thankful for today’s blessings! Happy weekend, everyone! :)

PS: I saw my new favorite commercial today! SO FUNNY!!!

Day 167

June 16, 2011

the one where I worked on Awakening things, invited Kristyn over for a visit, found a recipe for seafood lasagna (whaaaaat?!), went to Cheddar’s for an AA92 Leadership dinner (where we saw tons of A&M football players—including Von Miller!! AH!), and spent the rest of the night watching Dodgeball with my leadership homies at the Rock Yard!

Day 166

June 15, 2011

the one where Erica bought all of Leadership tickets for the midnight premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2! One month until AA92, and one month until HP7. WHOOP! Studying at Sweet’s + getting to hang out with Kristyn + catching up with Katelynn for about an hour after Mass + coming home from an Adoration hour to find a bag of goodies (including strawberries, nutella, chocolate chip cookies, and a singing card!) sitting by my front door = talk about serendipity!

Dear Father, thank you for blessing me with so many wonderful moments so far this year...and for the gift of time! I realize that this season of life has given me a lot of time to focus on my relationship with you, and that has allowed me to grow more fully into the person that you desire me to be. I think about how busy I'm going to be when I'm in graduate school, and then working in the real world every day, and possibly having a husband and kids to care for--and it makes me realize what a gift this season really is. And while I'm really looking forward to all that awaits in me the future, I'm thankful that I've been given the opportunity to take each day as it comes, grow in the virtue of patience, and use all the extra time I have in this season to grow closer to You.

PS: I also pray that you bless Joanna for being an awesome friend and introducing me to Sweet Eugene's Mudslides, and my anonymous friend for supporting me and leaving me goodies as preparations for Aggie Awakening pick up this month! (Both of them are really helping me focus on the GRE and AA92!) All my love, Jamie

Day 165

June 14, 2011

the one that consisted of: studying for the GRE (surprise, surprise…), looking into graduate school stuff, having a déjà vu moment, celebrating Mass, going to the longest leadership meeting of all time, and laughing at the “IN CASE OF PARTY” drawer in the Awakening office.

PS: if you have a minute, could you pray for Erin Gibson? She was one of my high school band directors, and I just found out she had an aneurysm. Please keep her in your prayers if you can.

Day 164

June 13, 2011

the one where I went on a morning run with Joanna, had a lunch date with my mom over the phone, studied at Sweet Eugene’s, and celebrated Carl’s 23rd birthday at Los Cucos! Good food + 30 awesome friends all gathered around one table + Kristen’s homemade cookie cake + the coolest candles I’ve ever seen + watching the Aggie baseball team BTHO Florida State to earn a spot in the College World Series = happy birthday, Carl!

Day 163

June 12, 2011

the one where we celebrated Pentecost! I got to church early to go over the music before Mass and took off my Aggie Ring—and then accidentally forgot to put it back on! But what once was lost now is found, thanks to Perla! I don’t know WHAT I would do without this girl! I honestly didn’t even realize it was missing until she brought it to me. (Dear Holy Spirit, thank you for leading Perla to my ring…and Dear Perla, thank you for being awesome and not making fun of me for being so scatterbrained in the morning!) :)

Leading music at the morning Masses + hanging out at Newk’s with the gang + a spontaneous trip to Cinemark to see Kung Fu Panda 2 with Ryan, Nick, Debra, and Donald + the Mavs winning the NBA National Championship = SO thankful for today!

Day 162

June 11, 2011

the one where we had a roommate night at the Cottage! Hanging with my roomies + 500 Days of Summer + Chicken Bacon Artichoke Pizza + homemade almond crème confections + already making plans to do this again = WIN.

If you haven’t seen this movie yet, it is seriously a work of art!! (And Atalie, I might just have to borrow the soundtrack from you after all…haha!) Although it would have been WAY better if Christ was involved, it was still one of those movies that make you think about life and love. And it once again affirmed what I believe to be the truth: that no loving relationship can really last unless Jesus is the foundation. Without Him, true love simply cannot exist.

But on a less deep note, today the Texas A&M track and field team made history in becoming the only school to win dual national championship titles three consecutive years. (Can I get a WHOOP?!)
