the one where we arrived in Paris, checked into our hotel, exchanged American dollars for Euros, and some of us decided to eat our first lunch at a French McDonalds! (France is SO different from the U.S. that we just needed a little adjustment time before diving headlong into Parisian cuisine. The funny thing is, McDonalds is almost upscale on the other side of the world! It’s more expensive, classy, and 3 stories tall—no kidding!) We also became acquainted with the Metro system, figured out how to travel quickly from one place to another, and spent the rest of the day exploring the city.
