Day 140

May 20, 2011

the one where we had nutella crěpes for breakfast one last time, headed back to the airport, and went time traveling again as we waved goodbye to France and made our way back to the states. The funny thing is, our flight left at 10:30AM, and then 10 ½ hours later it was 2PM in Texas! Talk about the longest day EVER! And as much as I loved living in Paris for a week, it is DEFINITELY not where I belong. I had a lot of fun adventures, but I was ready to get back to America, with its free refills, eye contact, simple currency, uncomplicated keyboards, and bathrooms that don’t require tokens! I never realized how we’ve taken so many simple things for granted—especially free public restrooms! All I have to say is God bless America; it’s so good to be home!

I just want to thank all of you again for keeping me in your prayers; I’m so grateful to have such a huge army of prayer warriors looking out for me! God certainly took care of us on this trip—and trust me, there were plenty of shady characters and dangerous situations we accidentally got ourselves into, but I felt the Lord guiding and protecting us through it all. So I thank God and I thank all of you for always being there for me!
