the one where Ben, Dylan, and I had an epic Toys “R” Us fail—we got there at 9:01…and they had closed one minute before! (Insert one Dylan falling to his knees in the parking lot saying “nooooo” here. What business do college students have at a toy store? Well…as our friend Sean would say, “don’t worry about it.”) :) But I will say, there are some toys that Wal-Mart and Target just don’t have!
It was also the one where I couldn’t help but smile when I heard my genetics lab TA talk about putting our electrophoresis gels in the “mystery box” and disposing our F1 generation of Drosophila in the “death chamber.” (Not to say that killing fruit flies is a laughing matter, because it certainly isn’t! Although the guys at my lab bench laughed at me for mourning the poor li’l F1 generation.) :(
And HOLY AWESOMENESS,BATMAN!!! I just heard that both of my brothers got letters from the Terry Foundation today—and they both have interviews!! AAAAAHHHHH! Oh, the blessings abound! What a day!
